Opening Prayer and Comments - Pastor Melvin Meister, Sr.
Thank you for coming tonight and sharing this very special time with Lea and Ken. They met in a very unusual way and believe the hand of God brought them together, both to bring them blessing and to fulfill a very special purpose in His will for them. Because Lea has worked in Jewish ministry and spent an extended time living in Israel, the Hebrew they have incorporated into their marriage ceremony is a part of who she is as a believer in Jesus. Their desire is to seek His will for their lives as a couple and walk together as one in Him. They believe that life has no meaning apart from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by receiving salvation through His shed blood. We pray this night will be a blessing to you.

The Marriage Vows - Pastor Meister
Ephesians 5:21-23: "Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and He is the savior of the body."
St. Paul said that marriage was so sacred that he compared it to the relationship of Christ and the church. "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for it, and wives, see that you reverence (respect) your husbands."
Kenneth, may God give you leadership as you become a husband with all the privileges and responsibilities it will involve.
Lea, you are about to become the help-mate of this man. You are about to fulfill the purpose for which God made you.
Friends and families gathered here today wish you Gods blessings.
Vows
If you, Kenneth Richard Splane and Lea Maureen Kane have deliberately chosen each other as partners for life, please join your right hands.
Kenneth Richard Splane, will you have this woman to be your wedded wife? Will you love her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health, in poverty and in wealth, and forsaking all others, keep yourself only to her, so long as you both shall live? Will you promise God?
Lea Maureen Kane, Will you have this man to be your wedded husband? Will you love honor and keep him, in sickness and in health, in poverty and in wealth, and forsaking all others, keep yourself only to him, so long as you both shall live? Will you promise God?
Kenneth, will you repeat after me these words?
I, Kenneth Richard Splane, take thee Lea Maureen Kane, to be my wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part.
Lea, will you repeat after me these words?
I, Lea Maureen Kane, do take thee Kenneth Richard Splane, to be my wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love, cherish and obey, till death do us part.
Exchange of Rings
May we have Leas ring, please?
A ring is as beautiful as is love. A ring is a circle which never ends, and your love will never end.
Kenneth, as you give Lea this ring, you are saying to her: "Lea, I love you with a love as beautiful and as never-ending as a ring. I give to you my hand, my possessions, my home, my future and my love. I will care for you, watch over you, provide for you and protect you all the days of my life."
To show that love for her, will you place this ring on the third finger of her left hand.
Lea, will you wear it to show the world your love for him?
May we have Kenneths ring, please?
Lea, you are saying to Kenneth, "I want to show you my love by placing this ring on your finger. I give to you my hand, my life, my future and my love."
Would you place it on third finger of his left hand?
You gave it to him because you love him. Kenneth, will you wear it because you love her?
The Pronouncement of Marriage
Forasmuch as you, Kenneth Richard Splane and Lea Maureen Kane, have offered yourselves to each other, and believing it Gods will that you become one flesh, and believing that God has led you to this place, as a pastor and officer of the state, and a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, in the presence of your family, these friends, and our Heavenly Father, I take great pleasure in pronouncing you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride.
